Thanks for putting that list together Cliff. 1970 seems to be my least represented year, so I will start checking out your suggestions. Have you listened to any of those 1981 shows yet?

Well I couldnt rightly have made a top-ten list and scored the shows without listening to them...

Wow! in the 1 week between asking for 1981 recommendations and posting your top 10 list you listened to and evaluated every one of those shows?

What do think, that I just heard these dogshit shows for the first time a few weeks ago?

I have listened to these shows over many years, I'm 46 years old for chrissakes! I even attended a few of them as well (I attended 8 shows in 1981).

I didnt always have an aversion to the 80's! I had those Melk Weg shows on cassette cack when I was in college, and the Barton show on 5/16 is probably my favorite show of close to 100 that I attended. I also caught 3/9 and 5/6 back when I was a senior in high school, though I surely dont think much of them now, as you can see.

I have always liked the acoustic sets of '81 very much, perhaps even more than those of 1980. And I also have to admit that the Europe tour of fall '81 has its moments as well. The band seemed to have rediscovered itself there, at least for a brief period. And I think my scores for the 80's performances are very fair!

My posts from a few weeks ago regarding 1980 and 1981 were just to see what "experts" like you had to say billydillions...

Cliff, you asked for 1981 recommendations and many people (myself included) responded and took the time to copy & paste the links for you. I was simply asking if you followed through and listened, hoping to elicit a response, although not expecting you to be won over. I've never claimed to be an expert, just a fan of 1980-1982 who has listened to a majority of the shows. I guess I'm a fool to have expected something different from you. I'm sorry that I wasted our time with the recommendations.
